How to Delete Temporary Files in Windows 10 (clear temp files)

In a day to day operation Microsoft creates several temp files and stores them in a variety of system folders. These temporary files are very useful and permit the machine to function efficiently and faster. However, over time these temporary files can take shape up to a degree they consume several GBs worth of space in your C drive. For example, the last time I scanned my system, Windows 10 is using over 11 GB to keep temporary files. This really is in addition to the reserved storage. So, stick to the below steps and delete temporary files in Windows 10.

Microsoft not only polished but also managed to get quite easy to delete temp files in Windows 10. Previously, you'd have to manually visit different folders like temp, prefetch, recycle bin, etc., and delete files after that. Sure, Windows has a built-in tool called disk cleanup to clear temporary files and much more. However, the disk cleanup tool is pretty old and when compared to current options, it's not that easy to use. As well as, if you are a beginner user, the disk cleanup tool can be very confusing.

In Windows 10, you can use the new settings app to quickly find and delete temporary files with only a few clicks.
